It is their right to live in well-constructed houses where they feel protected, secure, and safe. It is also their right not to suffer from the severe weather conditions.

Some IDPs in Duhok live in abandoned and unfinished houses which make their lives more difficult than they already are, especially when the weather conditions drastically change; it is too hot in the summer, and too cold in the winter. 
Living in a well-constructed house is essential as it makes them feel more secure, safer, and protects them from the high and low temperature.

Many things changed in their life, one of them is sending their children back to schools. CCR implemented the project of National School Feeding to encourage the children enroll at schools, which in return rises the percentage of literacy, and provides them with nutritious food that boosts their bodies with energy.

The primary healthcare center in Kabarto 1 camp stopped providing services and consultations to the IDPs after the government fund was cut. Many families suffered from the lack of adequate access to healthcare services as there was no other close center which they could reach easily and benefit from.

The primary healthcare center in Kabarto 1 camp has skilled medical staff who provide different services and consultations. There are general practitioners, dentists, nurses, midwives, laboratory nurses and doctors, and pharmacists. Many IDPs from the camp and other surrounding camps benefit from all what is provided.
