Improve Living Conditions and Enhance Resilience of Most Vulnerable Returnee Families

Full name of project: Improve living conditions and enhance resilience of most vulnerable returnee families through shelter rehabilitation in Al Hamdaniya district, Nineveh governorate

• Project duration: May 2019 - January 2020
• Description: Many Iraqis could not return to their homes after the end of the recent conflict because of the damage and destruction, widespread damage to the infrastructure and lack of basic services, which the war has left behind.
  In partnership with the Church Supreme Board for Reconstruction-Baghdeda, CCR rehabilitated 32 houses (for 230 returnees) in Al Hamdaniyeh in the governorate of Nineveh.
  CCR helped by either providing the families with financial aid to reconstruct the houses by themselves or hiring local craftsmen who helped them with the rehabilitation of the damaged houses.
